About our Stem Cell Therapy in Texas

You’re in pain and want a long-term solution that will actually fix your problem. The frustration of dealing with pain on a daily basis leads many people to go for the pill bottle or the surgical route. What if there was a proven treatment that not only addresses your chronic pain, but can be done in less than an hour with minimal side effects? It’s not a false promise – stem cell therapy offers transformative potential to address the root cause of your pain. If you’re tired of living in constant pain and want long-term relief, stem cell therapy could be your ideal solution.

In a meta-analysis of 26 studies with 739 patients, mesenchymal stem cell injections led to a significant reduction in pain at 1 and 2 years post-treatment compared to controls.

What Is Stem Cell Therapy, and Is It Right for You?

Instead of just masking symptoms with medication, stem cell therapy (also known as stem cell injections) uses the body’s own regenerative potential to repair damaged tissues, reduce inflammation, and restore function.

At Allied Wellness Centers, we use Wharton’s Jelly-derived mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs), which are a young, powerful source of healing cells and growth factors.

These cells help “signal” your body to begin repairing injured areas, making it a potential non-surgical option for long-term relief.

Wharton’s Jelly is ethically donated from healthy, full-term births and the process is safe and non-invasive.

Treatments are performed through simple injections. There is no surgery, hospital stays, or lengthy recovery required.

Our stem cell therapy in Texas has shown remarkable results for people struggling with:

  • Joint pain and degeneration
  • Osteoarthritis and arthritis-related stiffness
  • Knee, shoulder, or hip injuries
  • Back and neck pain
  • Tendon and ligament damage
  • Muscle and soft tissue injuries
  • Inflammation-related pain

Every patient’s body is unique, which means results and candidacy can vary.

During your consultation, our doctors will evaluate your condition, review your medical history, and help determine if stem cell therapy in Texas is the right fit for your recovery goals.

Meet Our Regenerative Medicine Expert

Leanne LeDoux in a black shirt leaning against a wall at a wellness clinic in Waco, TX.

Leanne LeDoux (MSN, APRN, FNP-C)

Leanne has over 20 years of experience in healthcare.  She holds a master’s degree in nursing and has a diverse clinical background in emergency medicine, urgent care, and neurology. She now specializes in regenerative medicine, a field focused on supporting the body’s natural ability to heal and repair damaged tissues. These treatments aim to reduce pain, restore function, and promote healing without surgery or long-term dependence on daily medications.

She believes true healing comes from identifying and treating the root cause of pain rather than simply masking symptoms. Her care philosophy emphasizes collaboration across specialties—including physical therapy, chiropractic care, orthopedics, and massage therapy—to ensure accurate diagnosis and comprehensive, individualized treatment.

She has been married for 25 years and is the mother of three sons and two grandchildren. She prioritizes caring for herself and her family, believing that personal well-being is essential to providing compassionate, effective care for others and helping patients return to active, pain-free lives.

The Stem Cell Therapy Process

1. Consult

Meet with our doctor or nurse practitioner at our Waco office or virtually via a phone call for a consultation (in-person preferred). We’ll review your medical history, assess your condition, and determine if stem cell therapy is right for you.

2. Injection

The stem cells are injected into the targeted area by a needle using a minimally invasive technique. Our nurse practitioner will numb the targeted area, and most patients only feel a slight sharp pain when the needle is inserted.

3. Total Time

A typical stem cell therapy session usually takes 30–60 minutes, depending on the number of areas being treated. Some patients need multiple stem cell injections, which can lengthen the procedure.

4. Post Procedure

After your injection, you can generally return to your normal activities. Our team will provide guidance for recovery and follow-up to maximize your results.

What Are Stem Cells?

Stem cells are the body’s natural repair cells with the unique ability to develop into many different types of tissues, such as muscle, cartilage, bone, and nerve.

In regenerative medicine, stem cells are used to support the body’s natural healing processes and restore function without the need for surgery.

These cells can be derived from various sources, including placental tissue, and are widely used in advanced, non-invasive treatments.

At Allied, we don’t inject “stem cells”. We use Wharton’s Jelly (which contains no live stem cells), derived from the birth tissue of healthy, donated placentas from C-section deliveries.

They enhance stem cell activity in your body to promote healing. This is a key distinction from what many people think of as “stem cells” that we can expand on further in your consultation.

Is Stem Cell Therapy Safe?

Yes, stem cell therapy is generally considered safe when performed by qualified medical professionals using equipment cleared by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and ethically sourced cells.

Most patients experience little to no side effects (one of the key benefits of regenerative medicine), and because many therapies use non-immunogenic stem cells (like those from placental tissue), the risk of rejection or adverse reaction is extremely low.

Although stem cell therapy has shown great healing potential, it is considered investigational and is not approved by the FDA.

As with any medical treatment, results can vary, and you should always consult your licensed healthcare provider to ensure the therapy is right for your condition.

Is Stem Cell Treatment Legal in Texas?

Yes, stem cell treatment is legal in Texas when performed using ethically sourced materials, such as Wharton’s Jelly or patient-derived cells.

Clinics must follow strict safety and medical guidelines to ensure treatments are both legal and safe.

For more information, see Texas Health & Safety Code – Stem Cell Legislation.

Who Can Administer Stem Cell Injections in Texas?

Stem cell injections in Texas must be administered by licensed medical professionals, such as doctors, nurse practitioners, or physician assistants, trained in regenerative medicine.

Proper training ensures the injections are safe, effective, and compliant with state regulations.

If you’re looking for stem cells in Texas, we at Allied Wellness Centers administer stem cell injections in Texas and beyond. We also offer PRP injections

If you live far from our office in Waco, TX, we’re happy to offer you a virtual consultation via a phone call to see if you’re a good fit for the treatment before you drive to the procedure.

How Much Does Stem Cell Therapy Cost in Texas?

Costs for stem cell therapy in Texas vary depending on the type of treatment, number of injections, and condition being treated.

On average, procedures can range from $4,000 to $50,000 per session. At Allied Wellness Centers, you can typically expect a range between $1,200 and $7,000 or more.

When you factor in the cost of surgery and the long recovery time that typically comes with it, paying for a stem cell injection can save you both time and money in the long run.

Is Stem Cell Therapy Covered By Insurance?

Stem cell therapy is typically not covered by major insurance providers. You can see our stem cell packages below this section for what to expect in terms of the cost of treatment. We’re happy to clarify any questions regarding cost during your consultation.

I can say without hesitation: if stem cell injections are an option, it's a no-brainer. The difference in pain, recovery, and long-term comfort is night and day.

Steve Sanders | Waco, TX

I had a stem cell injection in October of 2024 after dealing with a bursa in my hip for 17 years. That leg was almost useless. I couldn’t use it to step up on anything, I couldn’t sleep on that side, cross my legs or stand on that leg. After the injection I followed the prescribed exercises for six months and today I am about 97% improved. I would recommend that if your situation is one that can be improved by stem cell injections, you look into it. I have almost total relief from that pain for the first time in 17 years.
